The county has been notified many times regarding the lack of pickup from hurricane Milton. The Board has recently gotten Nicole Wilson’s office (our district 1 commissioner) involved. At this time they are still insisting on all items being bundled. The Board continues to work on this and get movement. If your items have not been picked up, please submit a 311 request to help bombard them with emails and notifications. Also, while the Facebook page is not a board run platform nor is it an official communication channel, many neighbors are willing to help trim debris down and bundle if you ask for help.
There are still two trees that are down and in need of being cleaned up. The first is by the back pond on Aldford, and the second is a large tree under the boardwalk. The boardwalk tree’s rootball is pushing the boardwalk up; this will need repair after the tree is removed. We expect the trees to be cleaned up by next week at the latest.
Finally, regarding the front fence and cabana roofs: our first fence bid came in at $26k to replace the 800 feet of white picket fence. The fence was originally incorrectly installed as it was only buried 12” in the ground with very little concrete. We are waiting for another quote, with the expectation each post will be 3’ deep with 2 bags of concrete per post. These items are moving slow, but Don Asher and the board continue to work hard on them.
